After posting a couple of new pictures with my Go Pro fitted on my North Kiteboarding lines I received a lot of questions on how I managed to do this.
Most usual Kite line mount will work well or be close enough to the rider on the North Kiteboarding bar as the V splitting the two front line is starting very high on the lines.
The Regular Go Pro line mount will work well for beautiful landscape kite pictures but if you want close up shot of yourself the go pro will be a little too far.
To fit my Go pro in the lines this is how I did it:
I used the bicycle handle “clamp” mount of the Go Pro
I decided to connect the Go Pro to the Pulley above the trim
As the pulley is a little too small to fit the Go Pro mount clamp I added a little foam taped together
You can then clamp the Go Pro to the pulley with the little piece of foam underneath.
The Go Pro will be hanging upside down which is not an issue you can set the new up for the go pro or just flip your picture in post production.
